Pre-Owned Holstein Traditional ‘Ole Bull’ Violin

This pre-owned Holstein Traditional ‘Ole Bull’ Violin is from 2018, but is still in excellent condition. It has been set up with a new bridge, soundpost, and strings. Very good sound for the price!

Holstein Traditional violins are handcrafted in our select VSA award-winning workshop. These instruments are made from high quality European tonewoods; aged spruce for the top and aged maple for the back and ribs. Our Holstein Traditional violins are made in various replicas and copies of violins made by the old masters, such as Stradivari, Guarneri del Gesù, Amati, and Maggini. The patterns and dimensions of the wood, as well as the varnish, are copied from the originals to achieve the same tonal qualities.

This was the last violin made by Guarneri ‘del Gesu’, so all of his knowledge in violin making is accumulated in this model! The low and flat arching combined with strong outlines and magnificent F-holes create a very powerful and rich tone.
