About the Calin Wultur Workshop

The Calin Wultur Workshop, situated in Reghin, Romania, is a small collective of skilled string instrument craftsmen overseen by Calin Wultur himself. Using a blend of traditional techniques and modern tools, each cello is meticulously crafted from aged Carpathian maple and spruce, meticulously graduated by hand to achieve the desired tone.

The wood materials are thoughtfully chosen, cut, and properly seasoned by the workshop’s dedicated staff. The final touch entails applying a German spirit varnish by hand, imparting a polished finish to the instrument. With the addition of the workshop’s new master luthier, B. Koscielny, the Wultur shop’s expertise has been elevated, ushering Calin Wultur instruments into an era of unparalleled quality.
